Our decisions

Corporate Governance Framework

The Office of the Public Guardian operates under the Public Guardian Act 2014 and in particular Chapter 5 Administration and Parts 1 and 2 being Appointment of the public guardian and related provisions, and Office and staff of the public guardian respectively.

This legislation emphasises ethics, openness and public accountability. It is the basis for the organisation’s overall purpose and sets our objectives. It also guides us in managing our information and resources, with consideration of the Public Service Act 2008.
